T206 - "The Grafting Table" cross-section of the graft of American root stock with European shoot or "scion" from a massive walnut tree. One-of-a-kind 21"H x 28"L x 13"W available at Avenue 12 Gallery
Occasional tables, or as I call them, wine glass tables
For the last several years I've been making a series of small, fun and low-cost tables. Many tables incorporate colorful inlaid koi fish, butterflies or similar objects floating on striking-grained veneer tops. Other tables are solid with "whimsical" designs inlaid in them. When guests come over and pull up a chair just plop
one of these down beside them for their drink. Or use anytime for
displaying flower arrangements.
All tables are finished with multiple coats of shellac/varnish followed with wax. They stand on silicon rubber feet.
